[xp] Matrox G400 Marvel GEEN SOFTWARE

Hoi,

Ik heb 2 jaar geleden een Matrox G400 Marvel gekocht voor 720 gulden en nu lijkt het er al op dat Matrox hem niet meer ondersteund in Windows XP. Dit is toch ronduit belachelijk ? Ik heb ze ge-maild maar je krijgt een automatisch FAQ-emailtje terug. Typisch Matrox 'support', want als je ze opbelt (in engeland bijv.) zijn ze ronduit onvriendelijk en kortaf ook.

Wie heeft ook deze kaart en is ook zo kwaad hierover en weet misschien een oplossing ?

De video-drivers & player voor win2000 heb ik geprobeerd maar de player wil niet installeren en de driver werkt half (sommige dingen kan je niet van NTSC op PAL zetten etc.)

in dat automatische FAQ mailtje staat meestal een adres waar je heen kunt mailen als je nog vragen hebt.
logisch, zulke bedrijven krijgen megaveel FAQ mailtjes, als ze allemaal die faq handmatig moeten pasten kost dat veel tijd

dus misschien dat je een adres kunt vinden?

of weet je al zeker dat ze geen XP drijvers gaan maken?

Ik heb nog 860,- voor mijn Marvel betaald die kansloos in de kast ligt. Tragische actie en denk dat je geen XP support hoeft te verwachten, w2K support is zelfs nooit volledig geweest (hardwarematig MJPEG) omdat de stagiaire daar geen stabiele drivers voor kon programmeren

Misschien komen er wel van die door enthousiasten samengestelde drivers voor jullie Matroxjes ala 3Dfx!

Matrox is geloof ik met dit ding gekapt kwa drivers, omdat ze t niet stabiel kregen. Er is toen zelfs een actie geweest zodat je geld terug kreeg....

To our Marvel G-200, Marvel G-400 Marvel, and RR-G customers:
We regret to inform you that Matrox is cancelling all MJPEG support under Win2K. Although this product was only intended for use under Windows 98, we did decide to take on the challenging task of supporting Hardware MJPEG under Win2K.

After months of development work, we have come to the conclusion that it will not be possible to offer any stable support for MJPEG under Win 2K due to the complexity of the MJPEG format and the OS itself, and thus we have abandoned the effort. Matrox will provide a suite of display drivers and video tools supporting TV tuning, 2D, 3D,
DualHead and DVD.

The capture portion for Windows2000 video tools will be the following:

- Marvel G400 will have YUY2 and RGB capabilities.
- RRG and Marvel G200 will have RGB capabilities.

The capture and editing portion will be accessed by 3rd party applications such as Ulead MSpro and Video Studio, however Matrox will not provide technical support for these applications.

As always, clients are more than welcome to post any problems they may have with our vidcap driver and have their fellow clients help them.

Due to the accesibility of YUY2, clients can now capture in Mpeg and vcd format directly which removed the need to convert mjpeg files into mpeg format.

In order to finalize RGB and YUY2 stability with third party video applications, this may take upto 3 weeks for the driver release.

Please note that the eTV series of products are not affected by this decision.

Effe reageren (agressief) op die Matrox EIKELS..... Het kan me ook niets schelen of ik punten of zo kwijt raak, maar ik ben die eikels zat. Als je ze wat vraagt, krijg je inderdaad alleen maar een standaard retourtje..... Daar heb je dus geen KL..EN aan. Als je wat dieper op de materie in gaat, reageren ze helemaal niet meer..... EN IK heb het VEEEEEEL drukker als hullie. Ook IK heb 800 piek ge-investeerd in die kaart, maar ondersteuning........HO MAAR!!!!!!!!! Tegen beter weten in heb ik ook nog een G550 gekocht..... Zat er niet eens de softwarematige DVD player bij, terwijl op de site staat dat ook selected BULK produkts voorzien zijn van die software..... Dat was dus de reden dat ik het kocht.....NOU MOOI NIET HOOR, ik ben klaar met Matrox, zelfs mijn Dual head werkt niet met dat barrel. Ik ben ECHT AFGEPIST!!!!! Wie heeft een kopietje van die DVD Player voor die 550??? Oh nee ..... is illegaal he???? Mag niet..... ZE VRAGEN ER OM.

Je vroeg wie er kwaad was??? NOU IKKE, en goed ook..... Het zijn een stel rovers!!!! En als je deze posting verwijdert, stelt alle moderatie ook geen F*ck voor!!!!!:(

FF een reply omdat ik deze ongein ook heb ge had weet niet of iemand dit nog leest maar zoja dan bespaart het je veel geziek. Matrox Marvel G400-tv loopt namelijk gewoon goed onder XP met als voorwaarde dat je mjpeg vergeet en in 16 bit mode captured. ga naar de forums op matroxusers.com en zoek ff op de driver modificatie of iets in de geest.De Marvel loopt namelijk met een kleine aanpassing in de inf file op de nieuwe G500 XP drivers combineer dit met de laatste (geen beta) video tools voor 2000 en je kaart loopt strak. mjpeg moet via tweaken ook nog mogelijk zijn maar ik weet niet hoe. Mogt iemand wat hebben liggen qua software dvd speler update mail ff want de voordelen ervan zijn het geld niet waard meer toch handig.
