Ik heb de beta-client van NetWare voor XP geinstalleerd.
Het probleem is dat als ik de inhoud van Deze Computer opvraag, dat het zo'n 10 seconden duurt voordat er iets te zien is. De ingebouwde client van XP had er trouwens ook al last van. Ik heb zo'n beetje alles al geprobeerd zonder succes. Het probleem is niet PC-gerelateerd, want een andere machine heeft exact hetzelfde. De Win98 en W2k-clients hebben nergens last van. Het gekke is dat als ik de Client voor Microsoft weggooi dat alles dan wel goed werkt

Maar die heb ik ook nodig dus dat is geen oplossing. Weet iemand wat dit zou kunnen zijn?

dit probleem hebben ook veel mensen met win2k gemeld;
ms client weggooien helpt. daarna weer toevoegen en zorgen dat je primair op Novell inlogd.

Hoe ziet nameresolving eruit?
DNS/SLP?
welke protocollen voor welke client?
wat draait op de server, versie en protocollen?

Netwerk is IP-only, zowel voor Microsoft als NetWare. Server is versie 5.1 met SP3. Clients hebben een vast IP.

SLP geconfigureerd op Netware server?
eventueel toevoegen op client.

Point the workstation to a Directory Agent (DA). (You will need to load SLPDA on the desired server to create a DA). If you define a DA in the properties of the client, the workstation will unicast to find the Directory Agent. (Remember, a DA is just a server that has created a directory, or list, of other SLP services on the network.) Go into properties of the client, Service Location Tab, Directory Agent list and enter the ip address of the server in the Directory Agent List box. Click on the box next to the Directory Agent box labeled "Static."
