do not try this at home folks
het onderstaande heb ik gelezen in een nieuwsgroep...
______________
I read it on another board about how to install Voodoo 5 Drivers to get the best possible performance under Windows XP. I tried and tested it, eveything works just perfect now, before my NHL 2002 was playing not that good and i wasn't able to see some of the effects in it and the game speed has increased and i coudn't use all the screen savers in Windows XP themes that come with Windows XP Plus! Now they are working fine, which means now my 3D part of the card is working properly.
Its not my idea ( I am not stealing it, i am not the one who wrote it but i read it from a board)
ok now get to the point:
1) Search for the words "Glide" and "3dfx" in your system registry and delete keys, values or folders that have these words in them.(delete all instances)
2) Go to device manager and change the Video Card to something else like "Sound Blaster's" card or something.
3) Reboot, download Windows 2000 drivers for Voodoo 5 from http://www.3dfx.com, install them, when it ask you about over writing the files make sure you say "yes", overwrite all the files, finish installation, reboot.
Your system will have fully functional Voodoo 5 64MB AGP Card with all the capabilities as it had in Windows 2000 Professional. (Don;t worry about the .dll errors during the installation, just ignore them)
Have fun. I hope this helps for those who need it.
But hey, if you mess your your computer, don;t blame me or this board. its your own responsibility.
