[BC3] BSOD bij Monster II

Hallo,
een huisgenoot van me heeft een VoodooII 8MB:D van Diamond(Monster II).
Nu heeft ie voor een spel die nieuwste 3Dfx drivers geinstalleerd, maar bij het opstarten krijgt ie iedere keer een BSOD met de volgende foutmelding: fxmemmap.vxd...blabla.

Z''n spellen werken dus ook niet naar behoren.:(
Omdat ik hem graag hierbij wil helpen én ik zelf ff niet weet waar ik het moet zoeken ben ik bij mijn tweak''rs beland. Dus..*D

okee, niemand heeft meer een voodoo2:P

mijn broer en die heef took driver probs en DLL errors heeft gewoon de laatste drivers op www.3dfx.com installed en bij opstarte duwt hij de DLL error door (iets van 3dfx2vp.dll) en dan werkt alles toch.

probeer anders de drivers van Diamond zelf.

Jonges bedankt! Ik heb het alsnog gevonden bij een andere newsgroup.

Het antwoord was:
I don''t know what brand video card your banshee was but if it was a diamond monster fusion there should still be a program in your c:\windows\diamond\monster dir somewhere called
glideswp.exe run it and it should uninstall all your old 3dfx voodoo2 drivers if your had some other brand banshee you will hav to manually do a glide sweep to uninstal them.
You will have to do a glide sweep and delete any old voodoo2 glide drivers left behind from your banshee install in the c:\windows\system dir the two main drivers are glide2x.dll and glide3x.dll but there are other drivers you should remove too like these fxmemmap.vxd,fxoem2x.dll,3dfx16v2.dll,3dfx32v2.dll,3dfxv2.drv,3dfxv2ps.dll,3dfxVGL.dll,3dfxOGL.dll.
Also in the c:\windows\ root dir there are two other files glide2x.ovl and voodoo2.ini delete those too.
thats pretty much all the 3dfx v2 drivers i know of use a v2 card but with a banshee there may be a couple others for the primary video drivers, and if i were u i''d download the last banshee drivers kit u had last installed on your system and then right click on it and then extract to into a temporary dir like c:\temp then search for any driver names i didn''t list then find them and eradicate them all from your system as well.
Then hopefully after all that, all will be well and kingpin will run.
