[BC3] Bios Checksum Error

Very strange;

I built my own computer; a AMD Athlon Tbird 1 GhZ, Abit KT7A, 256 (133mhz)
memory, V3800 AGP, and some more uninteresting stuff.

After a while the computer gave me a BIOS CHECKSUM ERROR when booting. So I
changed the motherboard for a new one - which in the beginning worked fine -
until now - it started giving me the same error. When I try to reboot
mainly.

I''ve downloaded the latest drivers, and bios updates. And I''m running
Windows 2000 (SP2).

The solution so far has been leaving the computer shutdown for 10 min. and
then rebooting it. This works. sometimes ;-)

What can I do? What can be the problem.? Anybody got a solution?

Probeer een in je BIOS setup te gaan en ga daar wat aan je instellingen prullen!

Save & exit en alles zou opgelost moeten zijn!

Either your BIOS is corrupt or there''s a battery problem replace battery and if to no avail replace BIOS chip (or mobo).

As long as you don''t get a BootBlock screen, (that asks for a diskette for reflashing the BIOS) there''s nothing to worry about (try resetting your CMOS anyway).

Another solution is cranking up your power supply (300W at least for an Athlon).
