The Temperature Bay is an idea that came from wanting to monitor temperatures, but without those overpriced DigitalDocs and still in a 5.25" bay. The result of our work comes the Temperature Bay -- Fits in a 5.25" bay, and has two temperature monitors on the bay panel. Each temperature monitor has a 36" long temperature probe on them so you can place them in the case anywhere your heart desires. Since we had the room too, we also made some room for fans or a hard drive. You can fit 1 or 2 80x80mm fans in the 5.25" tray, or you can place one hard drive in the tray. The choices are yours!
The front temperature monitors require no additional power source. They are powered by a watch battery which should last a very long time, and are about $0.25 each to replace after a few years of use. This way there are no power cables to mess with and the monitors are self-contained. The Temperature Bay comes exactly as you see pictured, there is no assembly required except you must snap the faceplate onto the tray which takes under 3 seconds to do. We also include stickers so you can label which monitor is monitoring what
