[BC3] Netmeeting met Winroute 4.1 build 23

Ik heb een probleem: ik heb een server met daarop Winroute 4.1 . Nu wil ik graag met een vriend die kabelmodem heeft, net zoals ik, voicechatten en met beeld via de webcam dingen laten zien dmv netmeeting. Hij heeft ook Winroute 4.1 geïnstalleerd. Bij de security options heb ik (en hij ook) overal staan "drop packet" etc, ik kan dus niet gepingt worden. Als ik hem uitnodig voor een gesprek, en dus zijn IP intik, kan ik geen verbinding met hem krijgen. We hebben beiden netmeeting op een client staan. Moet ik dan iets doen met portmapping en packetfilter? Ik heb hier (nog) geen verstand van. HELP!

Als je om te beginnen je packets die binnenkomen eens niet dropt maar accept dan ziet netmeeting tenminste dat er een call request is..!!

Maar is het niet zo dat als je de goeie poort open zet, het gewoon kan. Anders moet ik dus mijn beveiliging uitzetten, waar ik dus geen zin in heb. Ik kon ook nooit een quake2 server maken, totdat ik poort 27910 open had gezet. Toen kan het wel. Kan het niet op dezelfde manier met netmeeting?

Dat is dus het probleem, waar vind ik dat?

Ja..ik zoek nog steeds naar poortnummers, die betrekking hebben met netmeeting...

Download en install build 26. (noodzakelijk voor de volgende portmapping. omdat als je deze portmapping maakt, winroute automatisch andere poorten die voor netmeeting zijn, ook gaat gebruiken)

H.323 - NetMeeting 3.0
WinRoute includes the support of H.323 protocol. It means that all voice-over-ip applications may comunicate through WinRoute. Such applications are Microsoft NetMeeting, CuSeeMee, internet telephony (you may run Siemens IP phone through WinRoute for example) and others.

If the communication is initiated from behind WinRoute

In such a case there are no settings required. Winroute will support virtually unlimited simultaneous connections.

If the communication is established from Internet to the PC behind WinRoute

In such a case it is necessary to create Port Mapping, in other words to tell Winroute where to route incoming H.323 packets. You must to set up following Port Mapping:


Protocol:
TCP

Listen IP:
Unspecified of the IP address used for H.323 communication in case of multihome system

Listen Port:
1720

Destination IP:
The LAN IP address of the H.323 application

Destination Port:
1720


H.323 protocol is not running on port 1720 only - WInRoute will add the other connections automatically. Because of H.323 protocol limitation only one workstation might use such a communication at a time.
