[BC3] problemen met proftpd

Ik heb nu dit in xinetd.conf staan:

Op een of andere vage reden geeft ie dan toch Connection Refused aan... (ligt niet aan firewall, wu-ftp werkt wel)

Als ik dan dat commando achter server zelf intype (als deamon draaien) en dan inlog doet iet het wel. Ik wil echter dat je Anonym kunt inloggen en dat werkt niet door dit in proftpd.conf te hebben:

Wat moet ik doen om dit te laten werken??

Ik zou proftpd gewoon standalone draaien.
En dan rustig (of eerst eigenlijk) de configuratie directives bekijken en de manual doorkijken...

maar waarom werkt ie nou niet vanuit xinetd?
Dat van die anonymous zoek ik dan later nog wel op, maar waarom werkt ie nou niet vanuit xinet?

Heb je dit in xinetd.conf staan? Welke bestanden heb je in /etc/xinetd.d/ staan? Staat daar iets anders dat op ook op 21 wil luisteren? Wat zegt je syslog?

Moet server niet linken naar in.proftpd ipv proftpd?

proftpd is gelinkt naar in.profptd als ik me niet vergis! Verder zou je de DefaultRoot nog kunnen aanpassen.

Even voor de zekerheid vragen: wuftpd draait niet tegelijkertijd toch ? Want anders heb je 2 deamons die zich aan poort 21 willen binden...

Ik had vroeger een link naar in.proftpd.

Bestaat de groep nogroup wel btw???
en de user/groep ftp!

Daar kan het ook op misgaan ... tenminste het connecten duurt dan veel langer!

Maar ik vraag me af of je proftpd dan wel goed hebt toegevoegd in die xinetd! Die ken ik echter niet dus kan je er niet mee helpen.
