OKay, ik heb deze ook in
alt.os.linux.slackware gepost vandaar dat ie in het engels is:
Hi slackguru''s
I''ve installed cups and it''s working great!
I''m suprised by the easy install and configuration.
Athough I did it on the commandline and not the webadministration tool.
Samba is working fine, the win98 client can reach the shares directory.
But I''ve tried to use cups for sharing the printer with samba.
It didn''t worked out,
The win98 client can see the printer, which is installed correctly on my
system because I''ve tested it. On startup the cups deamon automatically
starts.
I''ve chosen for:
print command = lpr-cups -P %p -o raw %s
so the win98 client can use their own drivers.
see also my smb.conf below.
Under win98 I installed the network printer and set it as default printer.
I''ve tried to print several documents/images but the printer never
prints. It just sents the print tasks and nothing happens! There''s no
error message or something.
This is my smb.conf:
[global]
workgroup = XXXXXXXXXXX
netbios name = vegeta
interfaces = 192.168.0.1/24
allow hosts = 192.168.0. x.x.x.x

create mode = 0700
print command = lpr-cups -P %p -o raw %s
lpq command = lpstat -o %p

Please Please help me!
Thanx in advance!
