Naar Intel X550-T2 Geupgrade alleen kan geen update doen.

Hallo Tweakers,

Laatst is hier het snelste internet van KPN in huis aangesloten (4gbps hier) en toen heb ik de TP-Link TX401 kaart vluchtig aangeschaft. Deze kaart heeft alleen helaas het probleem dat het internet er af en toe uit valt op mijn computer dus nu ben ik overgestapt op de Intel X550-T2 kaart.

Alleen nu zit ik met het probleem dat bepaalde websites niet meer laden en daardoor niet meer beschikbaar zijn. Ook krijg ik sinds het installeren van de kaart krijg ik een random melding van Java met "Cannot determine a valid Java Home" Geen idee of dit er iets mee te maken heeft maar denk vermeld het toch ff.

heb al contact opgenomen met Intel support maar die halen volgens mij de hulp copy pastas ook van reddit en google af, zoveel hulp hebben ze geboden tot nu toe. Via mail van Intel wel nu te horen gekregen dat ik mijn kaart moet updaten alleen als ik het X550_NVMUpdatePackage_v3_70 van intel wil gebruiken (nvmupdatew64e) dan krijg ik de melding "OS layer initialization failed"


Ik heb zelf het internet afgezocht maar of niet goed genoeg of dit is gewoon niet mijn "pakkie an"

This is strange, the link was working till yesterday. We will look into it and get it fixed. However, the lets proceed with the update as the complete driver pack and NVM update utility are available and that should get you the latest driver and NVM.

`1. Ethernet Complete Driver Pack 31.2
2. NVM Update utility for X550 series ethernet adapter.

Steps to install driver using complete driver pack:

1.    Download the latest software package from the support website and transfer it to the system.
2.    Extract the downloaded software package to your hard drive.
3.    If the Found New Hardware Wizard screen is displayed, click Cancel.
4.    Navigate in your extracted files to \APPS\SETUP\SETUPBD and then the Windows subfolder corresponding to your version of Windows (32-bit or 64-bit).
5.    Inside the Winx64 or Win32 folder, double-click on SetupBD.exe.
6.    Complete the steps in the installation wizard.

Important Note: While installing you may see checkbox wherein you get to select Intel PROSET as well, ensure that you DO NOT select this option.

Also, you can directly run the NVM update utility, it will detect the card and update NVM accordingly. Once done, please reply to us with confirmation and share the driver version that is shown in device manager. We can check both driver and NVM version directly in SSU logs. So it would be even better if you can share the logs with us. If in case there is any error while updating NVM or driver, please take a screen shot and share with us.

Dus screenshot van de error maken en naar ze opsturen? Issue met die TP-Link heb ik trouwens ook (op de ene PC meer dan op de andere). Het helpt om de kaart uit te schakelen en daarna weer in te schakelen. Sucks, but it works.
