Hello,

Since I now have a digital meter (Belgium) I want to add batteries to my solar installation.

Important: I cannot modify my existing PV configuration because I would lose my certificates. My current inverters must remain exactly as they are.

Current installation
PV peak power: about 8500 W
Inverters: 2 × SMA Sunny Mini Central SMC 4600A
The inverters feed the grid over two phases.
These cannot be changed.

Goal

I want the power from my solar panels to:

1. Charge my batteries first
2. Only send power to the grid when the batteries are full
3. Be able to run the house during a grid outage (off-grid capability)

My house has a 3-phase connection and I want the batteries to supply 3-phase power.

Planned Victron system

3 × Victron MultiPlus-II 48V 6.5 kVA 100A
Victron Cerbo GX MK2
2 × Victron Lynx DC Distributor
Victron VM-3P75CT energy meter
Battery bank around 25 kWh

I will also add the required cables and fuses.

My main question

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for a setup like this with:

existing SMA grid-tie inverters (AC-coupled)
3-phase Victron MultiPlus system
~25 kWh battery
ability to run off-grid

Any advice or example setups would be very helpful.

Location: Belgium
Grid: 3-phase
PV: 8.5 kW
Existing inverters: 2x SMA Sunny Mini Central 4600A
Planned: 3x Victron MultiPlus-II 48/6500
Battery target: ~25 kWh

Thanks!
Luc
