My AEG Lavatherm Protex Plus heat pump dryer (model no: T87687NIH) is making a squealing noise when it runs.

I opened it up and checked. When the motor spins it makes a whining sound. The wheels touching the drum and belt don't seem the source of the noise. The fan connected to the motor is also fine. Cleaned up the lint inside but the squealing noise remains. If the source of the noise is the motor then can it be repaired or does it need to be replaced? Is it easy to repair myself (disassembling was manageable) or should I call a repair service. AEG's official repair service seems to be expensive. Is it worth hiring a local dryer mechanic (in Netherlands) with regards to warranty and service? Thanks.
