A specific Url( website) not working over KPN wifi/Ethernet

I use a IPTV, device is connected with KPN wifi and via HDMI cable to TV. when i use my mobile hotspot and connect with this IPTV device TV works well however since 8 days with KPN wifi network its not working. tried with ethernet cable too didnt work.

Interestingly last week I checked with friend wifi network( 2 streets away from my house) who also use KPN network too and this url worked there. the only difference i see is he is having experia box V10 and I had KPN box 12

this clearly tells me this Url is not blocked by the network but may be specifically by this modem/router. today I changed the router too ( experia box V10) but still url is not working. technical geeks if any suggestions to make it work?

Then about your question. Since you have already changed the hardware, chances are that your IP is blocked at the website side, so you need to contact the website.

ya sure. people can respond in dutch. I can try to translate and really appreciate suggestion and feedback. If i understand correctly you mean my IP is blocked by owner of the site? I can definitely check with them however how can i check what is my IP. can you please help/guide me

Kun je eens proberen om je DNS op bijvoorbeeld 1.1.1.1 te zetten in plaats van de DNS van KPN te gebruiken?

There are several ways, easiest is probably googling for "what's my ip?"
(You could also log into your Experia Box and see your WAN IP, do ipconfig at a command prompt, etc)

Check the firewall settings in your experiabox. It blocks quite some ports aggressively with a recent update.

didnt work with any of the above
1. changed DNS to 1.1.1.1. still cant access
2. firewall setting changed from medium to standard. nt sure if i should change to custom
3. checked with IP tv provider if they are blocking my ip. they confirmed no they are not blocking

keep in mind this url works with my mobile hotspot of wifi to to my neighbor or friend house who also use KPN

Is your IPTV subscription from KPN? Or from another legal provider? Then you should contact them again.

If you have an illicit IPTV subsription, we can't help you at Tweakers. It is against the rules - and more importantly against the law.

In any way - this should start (and hopefully for you, end) with contacting the provider.

this is the first thing I checked. As i said this IPTV is not blocked in Netherlands. reason being my neighbor use it and with KPN wifi too and it works perfectly.

this is not provided by KPN. also i tried something today. I just installed a VPN and connected this url and it works. I am not sure what this tells me. does it mean KPN is blocking this url or web server of the URL is blocking KPN assigned IP of my home? appreciate the response

As you are saying that its not KPN IPTV, about which IPTV provider are we talking? Which URL are you trying to reach, so that other might be able to check as well.

99% zeker dat je bij die iptv provider geblokkeerd staat (ook al zeggen ze van niet)

It matters, because of two aspects:

1. We aren't allowed to discuss illicit IPTV - aiding and abedding.
2. From a technical perspective, there is a huge difference; some of us are versed into the KPN offering - other providers use vastly different techniques. Eg, if it is KPN, might be some IGMP settings - whereas this doesn't go for others. And the illicit IPTV market is strung together by resellers and resellers of resellers. TS might very well be blocked "upstream".

I am using a US based IPTV *snip*. I am paying yearly subscription to them.


The url they gave me which is what the device provided by them is using to open TV page portal is *snip* which is not working in my KPN network but it works everywhere else.

@ajay kumar I removed the links. Due to legal reasons we are not allowed to list or discuss these illegal IPTV providers, like stated from others who have tried to help you as well. Please read our rules in which this is listed. I will close this thread since this is most likely a problem on the provider part which we are not allowed to help you with. If you disagree, feel free to PM me so that we can discuss this.

My 2 cents: if the URL works in several other networks but not in your KPN network then it looks like your provider is blocking this URL. You can check this by contacting your provider KPN.
