Heya
So for a long time I used a laptop for gaming and school and couldn't afford to own a pc becasue my family moved around a lot. Now that I have a more permanent living space and in conjunction with my four year old laptop going kaput this week, I've decided I want a gaming PC. I play Fortnite and Marvel Rivals mostly and the goal is to get 200+ fps on 1080p during intense parts like team fights or when there's a lot of building going on, while also achieving a good price-to-performance ratio.
I was debating between the 7500f, 7600 and 7600x, as I wanted AM5 for the future upgrade path and I felt that any money spent upgrading to like a 7600x3d could be spent on a better GPU, in terms of fps per dollar. The 7500f was the best value but the no iGPU can be a downside in that it could be useful for troubleshooting if the GPU fails and since I'm a newbie I felt that spending that little bit extra on the 7600 is worth it.
For the CPU cooler, motherboard, case and power supply I chose based on popular opinion and reviews on the internet. A kind stranger pointed out that the Lancool 207 didn't have a rear fan and that it's a good idea to install a rear fan.
For the RAM I just set the filter to 32GB DDR5 MHz 6000 CL30 and sorted by lowest price and chose the first one that had reviews on it.
For the SSD it was a similar process. My laptop had 512GB storage so 1TB feels a lot more spacious but others have told me I should go with 2TB to be safe. I feel like if I need more storage I could add another SSD later on.
For the GPU, I'm not really considering raytracing so I decided to go AMD. At the start I picked the 7700XT but after choosing different parts I fit a 7800XT while staying within the budget. I am kind of in the need of a PC so I don't think I'll be waiting for the new GPUs to be released next month.
So yea, this is my first time planning or building a pc and I'd like to hear your opinions and advice on this parts list and what you would do differently.
Thanks in advance
