Windows XP inloggen op Samba PDC

Ik draai een Samba (v 2.2.1a) PDC waarop een Windows XP client moet inloggen. Hij vindt het domain perfect, maar na het opgeven van een username+wachtwoord geeft ie een vreemde error:

The following error occurred attempting to join the domain "groep0":

Multiple connections to a server or shared resource bij the same user, using more than one user name, are not allowed. Disconnect all previous connections to the server or share resource and try again..

Volgens geeft deze error niet aan wat er nou precies aan de hand is.

Het maakt verder niet uit welke username+wachtwoord ik opgeef, bestaande of niet bestaande. Alleen als ik niks invul, of alleen een spatie geeft ie een andere foutmelding.

Restarten en dan weer proberen. (wel zorgen dat je geen netwerk shares op die pdc mapt, je moet namenlijk eerst het domain joinen)

Het probleem zit dieper, ik heb op Google deze link gevonden waarin de oplossing voor die probleem staat.

k heb het zelfde probleem... (had het btw ook al met 2000 clients)

policy of Windows XP compared to Windows 2000:

Open the "Local Security Policies"-Editor (Control Panel->Administrative
Tools->Local Security Policies).
Go to "Local Policies->Security Options" and choose the option
"Secure channel: Digitally encrypt or sign secure channel (always)"
(W2K)
"Domain member: Digitally encrypt or sign secure channel (always)" (WXP)

With W2K this defaults to disabled, with WXP it is enabled. Since Samba
does not support this option, communication between Samba and WXP during
the logon process can not work.

Set this option to disabled, reboot your Windows XP machine and now you
should be able to logon successfully.
