Hello,

Could someone post their values used in your electric heating system with normal radiators?

I live in a 1980 row house with energy label A but the average electricity consumption is 20kWh to 25 kWh per day. I feel something is off with the settings but I'm not able to find out what's wrong. The fan in the outdoor unit switches on every now and then that increases the electricity consumed.




I tried resetting the values to the one shown in the manual, but that didn't help either.

Model - TEC HS08 8kW Monobloc propaan with Daikin RVS 200ltr Boiler

Thermostat temperature is set at 21.5°C. It takes too long to heat up. For example it takes 2 hours from 19.5 till 20.5 degrees. In an hour the thermostat is back to 19 degrees and heating runs again. I have set the DHW to 50 degrees.

The photo shows the default values set in the touch screen unit placed near the boiler in the Attic (according to the manual)

The company is not very responsive to help us out with this issue.

It is cold. It is an older home and you've set the temperature of your room above what is typical in Dutch houses. Taking all of that in consideration 20kWh is quite expected. It equates to about 8 m3 gas, which is not that out of the ordinary for a 1980s rowhouse of around 120m2 for this weather for a whole day of heating.

Is there underfloor heating or radiators? With underfloor heating it is quite normal that it takes some time to heat up but the heating should be quite efficiënt (and I'd expect lower temperatures).
With radiators, you could add fans to increase efficiëncy (with a heat pump a lower temperature increases efficiëncy quite a bit).
