Cutting Edge Technology
Developed over a period of 18 months by ISIs next generation technology team, all new graphics technology provides unrivalled accuracy, resolution, detail, performance and sensation of speed.
In order to radically improve performance, an entirely new engine has been written with frame rate being the number one priority. Frame rates are approximately 4 times higher even with the increased detail which means that any scene consists of approximately 4 times as many polygons as its equivalent in F1 CS 2000. The high frame rates of F1 2001 have proven vital in enhancing the raw feel of driving and making the player feel more connected/closer to that experience.
Drive Model
In order to improve the immersion of driving, a new drive model has been developed, with particular attention to weight distribution, tyre and chassis modelling and with regards to the cockpit the eye point.
F1 2001 has been test driven by the British American racing formula one team and other professionals from within the real formula one world.
