In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”), Shenzhen Baseus Technology Co., Ltd (“Baseus” or “the Company”) is voluntarily recalling two models (PPCXM06 and PPCXW06) of power banks. The lithiumion battery in the power banks can overheat, posing a fire hazard. The Company has received 132 reports of batteries bulging or swelling and 39 reports of fires, including 13 burn injuries, involving models PPCXM06 and PPCXW06.Because safety is our top priority, Baseus is voluntarily recalling these two power bank models to prevent future incidents. Consumers may obtain a refund by submitting a claim here (hyperlink to website registration page).
Both PPCXM06 and PPCXW06 were offered in white, black, light blue and light pink colors.
Only power banks with model numbers PPCXM06 and PPCXW06 are part of the recall. These models were offered for sale in the U.S. between April 2022 and April 2024.
IMMEDIATELY STOP USING THE RECALLED POWER BANKS. You do not have to return the power bank to obtain a full refund of your purchase price. Please visit https://baseuspowerbankrecall.expertinquiry.com/ to get instructions on how to get your refund.
The recalled power banks contain a lithium-ion battery and must be disposed of safely and strictly in accordance with local requirements. Do not mail them to Baseus or the online store where you purchased the product. Do not put lithiumion batteries in the trash or battery recycling boxes found at various retail and home improvement stores. They can cause fires if they are damaged or crushed and are a hazard when thrown in the trash.
