Extension of SE5000H solar power system.

I want extend my current SE5000H converter with additional panels with Solaredge S440 optimizers.

Can other companies then the one who installed my SE5000H for the first time upgrade the system? They do not have the password or is that not needed because the SE5000H will recognize the new panels automatically? Or the system will work, but only the app will not show the additional panels.

The current panels (13pcs) are also equipped with S440 optimizers. I want to extend with 4 panels.

Anybody can connect additional panels and pair the optimizers with the inverter. For this action one does not need to be the original installer. However, what is not possible, is to add the additional panels to your monitoring account. Without adding them in your monitoring account, you won't see them in the app.

Apart from what is technical possible, it is advisable to have only the original installer changing and extending the system. This to prevent warranty discussions or even loosing installation warranty or the original installer.

Dat klopt niet helemaal, @Skubba. Toegevoegde panelen worden wel zichtbaar in de logische lay-out. Alleen voor de virtuele lay-out moeten ze ingetekend worden door beherende installateur.

@nillesen_m technisch kan het dus, maar gaan die 4 op ongeveer zelfde oriëntatie? Je kunt met solaredge niet alles maar doen en laten.
