I've configured an IPSec VPN server on an old DS213 (located elsewhere). Connecting via internet from Windows and iOs works without a problem, but connecting from my Fritzboz 5590 as VPN IPSec client does not work. Perhaps a algorithm issue? Fritzbox supports IPSec-standard with ESP, IKEv1 and Pre-Shared Keys.
Supported IPSec-algorithm for IKE phase 1:
- Encryption method: AES with 256, 192, 128 bit, Triple-DES with 168 bit and DES with 56 bit
- Hash-algorithm: SHA2-512, SHA1 of MD5-96
- Key exchange via Diffie-Hellman 768, 1024, 1536, 2048 and 3072 bit (DH-group 1, 2, 5, 14 and 15)
Supported IPSec-algorithms for IKE phase 2:
- Encryption method: AES with 256, 192, 128 bit, Triple-DES with 168 bit and DES with 56 bit
- Hash-algorithm: SHA2-512, SHA1 of MD5-96
- Diffie-Hellman-group is determined by IKE phase 1
- Compression: none
I cannot find any details on the algorithms the Synology DS supports
Does anyone have any experience with a Fritzbox VPN client connection to a DS L2TP/IPSec VPN server?
