[FREESCO] Telnet wil niet

Hallo medetweakers,

ik heb een probleempje met FREESCO. Ik heb dit op een oude 486 geinstalleerd om dienst te doen als printerserver.
Config:
PC1: Win2K,IP=10.1.1.5, subnet=255.255.255.0
PC2: Freesco,IP=10.1.1.2, subnet=255.255.255.0

Later komen hier nog meer pcs bij, vandaar de printserver..
Nu kan ik vanaf PC1 prima pingen en printen. Zelfs de http server werkt. Het enige dat niet wil werken is telnet. Als ik vanaf PC1 naar PC2 probeer te telnetten door middel van 'telnet 10.1.1.2' dan gebeurt er de ene keer niks en de andere keer zegt ie dat connection refused is.

Ik heb bij de setup wel aangegeven dat telnet geinstalleerd moet worden en als ik op PC2 'telnet 10.1.1.2' doe werkt het wel.

Rara hoe kan dit, en belangrijker, wat doe ik eraan?

Hm, misschien wordt de verbinding geblokkeerd door /etc/hosts.deny danwel /etc/hosts.allow?

Nee, jammer genoeg is dat het niet. Die twee filetjes bestaan helemaal niet. Andere ideeen??

Ik weet niet waarom, maar ineens werkt het!
Volgens mij heb ik niks veranderd. Via de gewone telnet.exe lukt het nog steeds niet, maar PuTTy werkt wel, dus dat kan dan ook wel.

met telnet.exe kan het wel hoor... alleen... opstarten met telnet (zonder ip dus!)..

dan ff 'set term VT100' doen... daarna doe je open <freesco-ip> en gaan met de banaan
