Hi Tweakers
Ik had het bericht in het engels geschreven voor een ander forum maar ik post het eerst hier. Misschien heeft iemand een idee om dit op te lossen?
Hi guys, I have a weird cpu temp issue which occurs sometimes when I restart the computer. Normal idle temps are as low as 28/35c, but sometimes it runs idle at 70-85c after a restart.
System: 13900KF, grizzly contact frame, Asus Proart Z790 wifi, 128GB Kingston Fury DDR5 6000mhz (running at 5600mhz xmp2 stable), Asrock 6700xt, EK Nucleus Lux 360 AIO.
I carefully tweaked this system for optimal performance for my work. The things I did are:
1) Set Core Parking OFF with Parkcontrol app.
2) Set windows 11 power scheme to Ultimate performance
3) Setting Proc perf core parking, demote threshold, idle disable, idle promote threshold, max and minimum proc state to 100%.
4) Debloaded windows 11
5) Deactivate unused devices in device manager.
6) Enforced all cpu limits in asus bios to keep the wattage at 253w max. In tests it occured that removing limits did not help me a lot in speed, while temps/throttling increased.
7) Bios update to latest, vid driver to latest, full win11 updates and Mobo/chipset updates.
After these tweaks my latency problems where gone in Latency Mon. Before that I had latency spikes all over the place. Those spikes are a big no-no in real-time audio production. But I have those finally under control.
When I start windows 11, the chance is like 50/50 having the extreme high idle temps. Restarting windows does not always solve it. Turning off/on the computer helps most of the time. Then idle temps are back to normal and stay normal.
How is it possible that this temp problem does not occur every time but only half of the time? Where can I start to tackle this problem?
