Ik kwam Thermal Pads tegen en vroeg me af wat de ervaringen hiermee zijn.
- Heb je hier minder (kans op) geknoei mee?
- Hoef je dit niet meer schoon te maken als je bv. een andere koeler monteert?
- Is er veel verschil in de warmte overdracht?

Ja, minder geknoei maar slechtere warmte overdracht
Dat is voor het koelen van bijvoorbeeld een SSD niet zo veel verschil, maar bij een processor is dat echt geen optie.

Pads gebruik je om een ruimte te overbruggen van bv 0,5~2mm.

Grease/pasta gaat tussen 2 harde opervlakte die strak op elkaar zitten en doordat het semi-vloeibaar is vult het alleen de minescule ruimtes daartussen. De rest word er tussenuit geperst (als het goed is ).

Pasta heeft over het algemeen een veel groter vermogen om warmte door te geven en heeft daarmee de voorkeur voor CPU’s en GPU’s waar je veel vermogen wilt afvoeren.
