Trying to figure out what laptop is the best

Hi im looking for a new laptop since my macbook air 2012 is toast
I have been looking into the asus ROG zephyrus m16 and compared it with asus rog strix g17, and now im abit confused as of what the difference between rtx 3050 ti and 3060 and all the different models with different prices, is the asus Rog zephyrus m16 with rtx 3050 outdated already? What would be your advice for a good laptop buy on a budget.
I have attached more details below on my requirements for it, hope someone can help me!

I need it for editing video mostly 1080p in after effects and i use photoshop, blender. I also would love to be able to play the new games on it with best settings. A easy to carry around laptop is also something im looking for as im studying and bringing it to school often.
My budget is around 1500 €

Legion 5 Pro vs Zephyrus M16, i think im going with the zephyrus because of the weight and the bit of higher performance when it came to editing software. I can't really figure out what the difference between the different types of ROG Zephyrus m16 are some are cheaper and other way more expensive.

If you do not use the quote function, make sure you tag the one you are replying to with the @ symbol like this @lucamosbech

Some brands dont let de 3070 use full power,so I would look at that.
The Asus is an laptop that does not use the 3070 to the max.

The Legion Pro 5 is an great laptop.
Screen, keyboard, build,perforamnce are all excellent

The Lenovo Legion 5 that you are linking too is also a very nice laptop.. Only a little less bright screen (and possibly also different screen) than the Legion 5 PRO I recommended. And ofcourse only a RTX3060.

I don't know about the price differences for Asus ROG laptops, but if I have to guess: the difference is probablt caused by the fact that the newer Intel CPU's are scarse and expensive.. (12th gen)

It's ”only" €170 cheaper than it's lowest known price, plus it's refurbished and only has a 1 year warranty. Can't say that would be a "good price". But refurbished can be a nice way to combat e-waste.

I've looked at all the models mentioned on this thread, and although I prefer Intel over AMD for editing (I'm probably just biased, haven't used AMD on a workstation in about a decade), I would lean towards the Lenovo 5 Pro. Overall, that one seems to give the most bang for your buck, both from an editing as well as a gaming perspective.
Especially if the chat representative gives an extra discount on top of it. They seem to love throwing in extra savings, especially for students who aren't sure if they are willing to pay the full price.
