Alvast bedankt!

Vanaf Geforcefaq.com:
What is the difference between the 3.xx, 5.xx, 6.xx, 7.xx, 8.xx, 10.xx, 11.xx and 12.xx versions of the drivers?
The 3.xx versions of the drivers are the first set of NVIDIA's unified drivers to officially support the GeForce.

The 5.xx versions of the drivers support S3TC and palettized textures in OpenGL and full scene antialiasing (FSAA) (in OpenGL, and in Direct3D as well in the 5.22+ drivers). However, for some people they also cause lockups when they load Windows, so that some people simply cannot use them yet. They are also faster than the 3.xx drivers in most cases.

The 6.xx versions of the drivers are faster and have a new NVIDIA control panel with extra FSAA options and information, and extra support for the GeForce2 MX. However, they may cause problems for some people.

The 7.xx versions of the drivers are optimised for DirectX 8 and add support for palettized textures in Direct3D up to version 7.49. In 7.50+ the drivers are optimised for DirectX 7 and palettized textures support is gone.

It is currently unknown that new features the 8.xx series introduced.

The 10.xx versions are optimised for DirectX 8, add support for palettized textures in Direct3D, add native support for 3D glasses, simplify the antialiasing options in the NVIDIA control panel and support the GeForce3.

The 11.xx and 12.xx versions add support for anisotropic filtering - see the 'How can I enable and change the quality of anisotropic filtering?' question for more information. Palettized texture support appears to be fixed from versions 12.40 onwards.
