When will the 6a be available in the Netherlands?

I notice that the Google Pixel 6a already sells in DE, UK and a few other places but not yet in NL. They currently all have an offer that provides the A-series pixel buds for free when ordering before 1 August. This is a great deal as if I sell the buds for €80, it brings the total price of the 6a down to €379.

I tried to order on the DE google store but of course a Dutch post code is not accepted there and brings with it also some potential problems with warranties.

Why is the phone not available in the NL store? When will it be available?

Google doesn't sell their phones here. The ons you'll find are (gray) import from Germany and France. It's usually cheaper if you buy directly from these countries yourself.

Probably "a Google reason" (aka nonsense)

There is to my knowledge no official statement why they do not sell their phones over here, for me it never made any sense.

Neither it makes any sense why they sell their Pixel 6(a) in only 12 countries (13 when the sales in India will start)

_{those 12 countries are, United States, Canada, Germany, United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Italy, Spain, Japan, Australia, Singapore and Taiwan}

Google has the money to sell their phones in more countries or maybe even worldwide like Apple or Samsung do, but I guess we will never know the real reason why Google is so stubborn (unless I missed out on the information about that reason)

So grey import is the only solution for other countries, including The Netherlands.

We got extreme good buyer protection in NL, maybe Google just doesn't want to sell stuff under those conditions.

But we shoudl question then if the buyer protection is so 'good' why don't companies want to sell here. Perhaps the protection isn't that good?

You can buy it now in some online shops, but got to pay the full price.

Grijze import of niet, de prijzen die ik hier zie: pricewatch: Google Pixel 6a Zwart komen wel overeen met de prijzen van mm.de waar ik eerder een P5 en een P4a gehaald had welke beduidend goedkoper waren dan grijze import in NL destijds.

Een positieve verandering als je het mij zou vragen.

edit: dat gezegd hebbende zie ik dat je wel 35€ korting kan krijgen bij mm.de. Ik woon dan redelijk bij de grens dus is het voor mij nog wel eens de overweging waard: https://www.mediamarkt.de...oal-dual-sim-2815819.html

People who think Google does not have a good reason are of course very very naive.

I think it is just a strategy. Google is relatively new on the modern market with creating mobile hardware themselves. They are first finding a winning strategy (trying out, small A variant, bigger one, XL varian, pricing, what works etc...). When they find something that is winning they wil expand to other countries. Having a global launch costs tons of money not even talking about advertising here, so better be sure your mobile is something people want to buy over of a Samsung, Huawei and all the brands that everyone already knows and owns.
