HP Visualize fx+ versie?

Vanmiddag gooiden ze op de PC-Dumpdag een zooi hardware te grabbel.

Naast stapels netwerkkaartjes kon ik een imposante VGA kaart scoren. Het heeft AGP en PCI aansluiting, en is enorm.

Een beetje searchen op de web toont dat het een HP Visualize serie kaart is (OpenGL accellerator). Nu schijnen er een aantal van deze kaarten te zijn (FX2+, FX4+ en FX6+). De 6+ is het iig niet, maar iemand enig idee hoe te zien of het de 2+ of de 4+ is? De HP site is iig royaal vaag erover.

Qua driver maakt het overigens niets uit- toch hetzelfde.

Dirk Bluethegen op de HP-support Forum zei het volgende:
try the following to identify your FX Visualize graphics card by HW:
There is no SW-Sys-Tool to identify the FX-Cards correctly but the HP-Diagnostic tool downloadable on the HP Support site under http://www.hp.com/visualize/support/shared_nt/diagnostics/videodiag/v1_4_1/index.html. Therefore you need an installed NT (but, I know, what you want is to make an unattended setup).

Therefore you can only differ the cards by their Product number.
To identify the built-in HW you must open your Tower Case and unplug the card out of their AGP/PCI slots.
On the upper left corner on the front side of the card there is a white label with a product number on it: this looks like A1278-60001.
You need the first four digits to identify your type of the card.
These are the numbers and cards:
A1264A - FX 5
A1277A - FX 6
A1278A - FX 4
A1290A - Elsa Synergy II
A1298A - FX 10

If there is NO label another solution is to disassemble the card further:
Unscrew the heat sinks from the front side of the card and count the number of RISC-Processors. A FX 4 has four processors, a FX 6 has six processors, a FX 5 has .... processors.

Caution: when you unplug and disassemble the card or open the case please execute it in an electrostatic security area (ESD) or on a surface which prevents the Hardware to be damaged by electrostatic energy. Wear also a wrist band to avoid damages on the Hardware.

Geen label

En de heatsinks zitten vast met die irritante Torq 6-kantige schroeven (waar ik geen draaier voor heb)

Onder de sinks doorglurend lijken het er 2... jammer, maar toch niet slecht voor FL 0,-

Nu nog een kast zover openwerken dat ik hem kan testen (kreng is echt groot)...

Whoeps... ik lees intussen verder, en blijkt dat het misschien ook de FX4 (non-plus) zou kunnen zijn, en dat HP bovendien aparte Unix en Windows versies van de kaarten maakte.

Toevallig HP-ers op de forum die de bomen door deze bos kunnen zien?
