Well, I thought it was the "plextor 24x" that was very "picky" with which media I used, but I found out is was the VIA Corruption-bug AGAIN
I burned 15 disks in total, using 4 different types of media, and 5 of them had data-corruption on them.
I can only conclude that the 686b-southbridge -corruption bug has come to life because i use FAST IDE-devices on the VIA-IDE ports. The corruption didn't occur on my old 4x speed burner.
Ever since I own the a7v133 (rev. 1.05) I was struggling with corruption. I used both bios (1005a and 1006), tried tons of other things, like via 4-in-1 but the corruption didn't go away. It went away for a month or so when I disabled my USB-devices.
In the end I went back to the computerstore and bought a PENTIUM III 933 + new (TUSL-2) mainboard instead of my a7v AMD.
P.S. I like to search the internet for solution, but not when problems couldn't be solved and took ALL of my spare time. I just hope to enjoy my computer now and do other stuff, like gaming..etc...
Good luck to all those that suffers from corruption on the a7v(133).
