Aanpassing HBO Max artikel

Allereerst bedankt voor het schrijven over dit onderwerp. Ik denk dat er, voornamelijk onder de Tweakers, genoeg mensen zijn welke zich ergeren aan 25fps i.p.v. 24fps.

Ik heb nog een toevoeging aan het artikel (waardoor wellicht ook de titel van het nieuwsartikel gewijzigd kan worden).

Behalve het feit dat HBO op 25fps hun films/series publiceert is ook het volgende bekend geworden:

Alleen nieuwe films zullen in hun originele snelheid worden geupload. Maar iedere oude en nieuwe serie komt van de HDTV uitzendmaster van HBO Nordic (fancy naam voor HBO Europa). Zij hebben géén toegang tot de originele Amerikaanse masters. Dus ook Succession is versneld.

Hierbij staat ook het volgende, namelijk dat HBO Nordic (HBO Europa) niet over alle 4K masters beschikt welke wel aanwezig zijn bij HBO Amerika.

Thus, the masters obtained from HBO Nordic come, in many cases, from HDTV broadcasts to which the audio in Spanish is added. Therefore, the content does not come from the United States, but comes from HBO Nordic. The same goes for subtitles, where if something isn’t subtitled in Spanish on HBO Nordic, it will not be in Spain either. Op diezelfde bron wordt overigens ook de 16:9 aspect-ratio aangehaald die per film/serie verschilt.

In the case of some HBO Max movies, even if their original format is cinemascope, there are many that are seen in Open Matte, that is, it adjusts its image so that it can be seen in 16:9 without black bars. HBO claims to do this because they say a lot of people call them complaining that they see black bars on their content, and that it doesn’t take up their entire screen. Therefore, if there is one, they give preference to the Open Matte version. And this is not something that they are going to change, despite the fact that they could offer both versions so that each user can choose the one they want to see.

Thanks, Mark van der Molen verwijst hierin naar een artikel waar ik in mijn artikel ook al naar verwijs (niet zo gek ook, want dat heb ik met 'm gedeeld), Ik zal kijken of ik nog even iets duidelijker op kan schrijven dat het komt doordat de oude collectie bij HBO Nordic wegkomt. Ik had het kort gehouden omdat het feitelijk al oudere informatie is.
