Shangri-La

-dev is noodzakeijk als je cheats wil gebruiken (in half-life)

Opstart-parameters half-life
-32bpp This enables 32-bit true color mode rendering of the game. This command is only available for Half-Life v1.0.0.9 and above. Also make sure that gl_dither is set to 0 (zero) in the console and/or put it into the autoexec.cfg (example: gl_dither 0).
-3dfxgamma This allows your gamma settings on 3dfx hardware to be decided by the Half-Life game.
-console This enables the usage of the console, where commands and variables can be used to tweak. This also skips the two short movie introductions, same as -nointro.
-d3d This enables Direct3D hardware rendering mode. This command is only available for Half-Life v1.0.0.9 and above.
-dev This is for developer mode. It prints out a lot of developer debug messages. Not recommended for use, because it consumes CPU resources to display those messages when you don't really need to see it. So don't use this command unless you want to troubleshoot Half-Life or a mod developer.
-full This runs Half-Life in full screen mode.
-game [mod's name] This is to enable Half-Life to play modification games other than to go through the menu to select them. This is a shortcut. An example to this command would be TFC. So it'll look like this: -game tfc. Don't bother doing this if you're playing the normal Half-Life game.
-gamegauge [timedemo] This runs the demo in Game Gauge mode. This is a benchmark utility that runs a demo as fast as possible and stores the framerate in a file called fps.txt in the Half-Life directory. Where [timedemo] is the timedemo's filename that you used to record during a gamin session or downloaded off the Internet. When typing in the timedemo's name, leave out the three letter extension (dem) at the end of the file name.
-gl This enables Open GL hardware rendering mode. Uses the -gldrv command too if using this command.
-gldrv [driver name] This selects the Open GL driver. The two choices are "Default", "3dfxgl.dll" and any other driver(s) listed in the drvmap.txt.
-heapsize # Where # is how much RAM you have in KB, but half of it. For example, you have 32 MB of RAM. Replace # with 16384. Don't be foolish and replace the # with more than what you got in RAM. The reason with using half of the RAM you got, because Windows 9x/Me would already used half your RAM for it's OS. Putting it to 32768 wouldn't do much except for maybe harm than good. People with more than 64 MB of RAM sometimes feel that it's not using the RAM being supplied. Well, they're right. This command invokes to show Half-Life all the RAM that you have and can be used.
-nointro This is to skip the two movie introductions (Sierra's and Valve's) when running Half-Life.
-noip This is useful when you get that Dial Up Networking connection box bug to go away and to give you no IP address. Remove this command whenever playing on the Internet. If not, then you will fail to connect to any Half-Life servers.
-noipx This is only to remove that annoying IPX error whenever joining a Half-Life server. Put this in and you don't have to see the IPX error any more. This just disables IPX network protocol. Remove this if you play on LAN that uses IPX.
-numericping Instead of the in game Half-Life server browser's green dots used, it will then instead be replaced by latency numbers, as in pings. Only available for Half-Life v1.0.0.8 or above.
-particles # This is useful for those who create levels for Half-Life. This is useful to search for leaks in the maps. The # is any positive number to set aside some buffer space.
-port # If you are going to be playing Half-Life multiplayer on the same machine that you are running a dedicated server on, make sure you not using the same port for both (default at 27015). Where # is a port number. Run the Half-Life client with -port 27016 (or any other port not in use) in the target line of the shortcut.
-soft This enables Half-Life to be rendered in software mode.
-startwindowed This enables Half-Life to start in a window mode, instead of fullscreen.
-toconsole When launching Half-Life, this will take you straight to the console. Note: this is not how to enable the console. See the -console for more information to enable the console.
-w # This sets the video mode display width. Where # is the width in pixels of desired video mode display.
-wavonly This disables Direct Sound and plays sound effects in wav files. A fix for some sound cards that have stuttering problems. Also removes "no directsound driver" error message when loading up Half-Life. Use this command if you get that error message, besides, you don't have directsound drivers, so just use this command. Beware: there's a bug with this command. It will cause the resolution to be locked at 320 by 240 on start up on the games. You will need to change the resolution in the menu every time upon launching Half-Life.
-win This enables Half-Life to start in a window mode, instead of fullscreen.
-zone # This allocates more memory to scripting files, like autoexec.cfg and so forth. Replace # with any number, preferred the number that the error gives when scripts are too big. The parameter will allocate that much memory in bytes.
