BSOD in chrome / photoshop

Dag allen,

sinds lange tijd crasht m'n desktop pc regelmatig (wegens beperkt gebruik liet ik het links liggen, maar nu wordt het toch meer en meer een probleem). Ik heb geen idee in welke richting ik het probleem moet zoeken. Alle hulp is welkom... Waarvoor zeer bedankt!


SITUATIES
chrome:
bij gewoon surfen, zeer regelmatig bevriest het scherm (enkel reset mogelijk), maar soms ook bsod met variabele foutmeldingen (bijv whea_uncorrectable_error, soms ook andere error)

- photoshop: gebruik van bepaalde tools (bijv aanpassing dmv 'levels'), bevriest of bsod


TIJDSPANNE

Crashes doen zich meermaals per dag voor, bij gebruik van chrome of photoshop. Occasioneel ook andere programma’s.
Gebeurt sinds meerdere maanden. Drivers zijn al opnieuw geinstalleerd en steeds regelmatige upgedate.
Doet zich voor kort na opstarten, dus niet noodzakelijk heavy load.

Klinkt als een hardware-probleem.

Heb je al alle recente stuurprogramma's/drivers geïnstalleerd?
En als dat niet helpt raad ik aan om (bij voorkeur 's nachts, omdat het lang duurt) eens je geheugen-reepjes te testen met Memtest86.

Zijn hardware errors. Probeer zoveel mogelijk componenten uit te sluiten door ze te wisselen met andere voor zover mogelijk.

Misschien iets met de videokaart gezien Chrome en mogelijk photoshop bepaalde grafische libraries aanspreken.
