Bios Dump Asus P8P67WS Revolution

Mijn vraag
Ik heb een probleem met een Asus P8P67WS Moederbord.
Deze geeft geen beeld en bij het uitlezen geeft hij Error Code D6.
Ik heb het geprobeerd met ander geheugen en een andere GPU maar dit maakte geen verschil.

Na enkele uren op het internet gestruind te hebben vond ik een post over de P8P67WS
Waar gemeld werdt dat dit een veel voorkomend probleem is met de laatste bios revisie ( 2105)
Het terug flashen van een vorige versie zou dit kunnen verhelpen.

Omdat het bordje helaas niet meer post kan ik de bestanden van de Asus website niet gebruiken.
Is er iemand die toevallig een backup heeft? of er een kan maken?
Specifiek opzoek naar een .bin file zodat ik deze kan flashen

Klopt, al gekeken maar dit zijn .rom files
Omdat ik geen post heb ben ik specifiek opzoek naar een .bin(Backup)

3.10.3 ASUS CrashFree BIOS 3 utility
The ASUS CrashFree BIOS 3 utility is an auto recovery tool that allows you to
restore the BIOS file when it fails or gets corrupted during the updating process.
You can restore a corrupted BIOS file using the motherboard support DVD or a
USB flash drive that contains the BIOS file.

The BIOS file in the motherboard support DVD may be older than the BIOS file
published on the ASUS official website. If you want to use the newer BIOS file,
download the file at support.asus.com and save it to a USB flash drive.

Recovering the BIOS
To recover the BIOS:
1. Turn on the system.
2. Insert the motherboard support DVD to the optical drive, or the USB flash
drive containing the BIOS file to the USB port.
3. The utility automatically checks the devices for the BIOS file. When found, the
utility reads the BIOS file and enters ASUS EZ Flash 2 utility automatically.
4. The system requires you to enter BIOS Setup to recover BIOS setting. To
ensure system compatibility and stability, we recommend that you press
<F5> to load default BIOS values.

Oh dat is ook nieuw voor mij.
Ik leer een hoop.
Weet u toevallig of dat werkt zonder post?
En is het dan genoeg als een usb FAT32 is geformatteerd?
of is hier nog een tool extra nodig?

Aangezien voor de normale bios update ook een FAT16/32 stick nodig is hiervoor denk ik ook. Daarnaast zou ik een zo'n klein mogelijke en liefst nog een USB 2.0 stick pakken . Daarnaast veel geduld hebben, niet te snel de boel resetten als er niks lijkt te gebeuren.

Oke, ik vraag mij nog wel af hoe het systeem weet dat het in error zit.
De code d6 vertaalt naar VGA is het dan slim genoeg om toch de USB te laden?

Dat is wel een goede, durf ik niet te zeggen. Op de Asus site staat onder Others trouwens ook nog rename tooltje die er voor zorgt dat je gedownloade bios file de juiste bestandsnaam krijgt voor de CrashFree functie:
