Ok, here’s one for the audio/usb nerds:
After connecting my Behringer Poly D synthesizer to my usb (didn’t have a midi keyboard nearby), both the usb connections in my Macbook Pro 2012 (high sierra) started glitching. Harddrives/usb sticks work fine, it only happens with audio interfaces. I tried 3 of them, all show the same symptoms:
- glitching audio, plops/squeecks/throwing out the interface all the time
- error messages concerning sample rate issues. DAW Logic says the interface is not in sync, and it’s using rather odd sample rates like 33.241 hz, changing all the time (the interface that is)
Here’s what I already tried:
- I tried multiple DAW’s, all the same errors
- I tried 3 audio interfaces, all the same errors
- I did all the usual troubleshooting stuff already (different cables, smc/pram reset, different power connections and of course the old ‘turning things off and on again’)
- I tried multiple things in the DAW, including changing samplerates/resetting midi settings.
Shoot
