lenovo t480 met 2 schermen

Ik heb een lenovo t480 met een HDMI en 2 usb c display uitgangen. Omdat er tegenwoordig nogal thuis gewerkt moet worden wil ik net als op mijn werk met 2 extra displays werken. Alleen heb ik op mijn werk een fraaie humanscale oplossing die ik prive wel erg duur vindt. Nou heb ik wat zitten proberen, een tweede scherm op HDMI erbij gaat prima, alleen zodra ik een tweede scherm op de usb-c poort aansluit werkt die prima, maar gaat het HDMI scherm uit. Weet iemand hier een oplossing voor of moet ik toch zelf maar een m/connect aanschaffen?

Dat komt omdat hij denkt dat je dan via de usb c poort een docking station installeert.

Aha, kan ik dat ook nog ergens instellen dat hij dat niet denkt?

That line in the manual points you to a section starting at page 63.


Later in that section, on page 65, there is this tidbit:


Shared Display Priority

Values:

HDMI, USB Type-C

Description:

Select the priority between shared display outputs. The HDMI connector and the rear USB Type-C connector share a single display output and the two connectors cannot be used simultaneously for the external display. This option chooses which connector is prioritized for the external display.


Collaborating with the PSREF (and general Thunderbolt 3 specifications), the TB3 port should allow for simultanious output with the HDM.


Oddly, despite having the same IGP, the X1C6 doesn't have this passage. Given the Intel IGP only has 3 active outputs, and there are 4 physical video ouputs on this laptop (one is internal, to drive the display), I have to assume something is afoot (or the TB3 controller (or USB type-c PMIC) handles the switching automatically, since both USB-C ports on the X1C6 are TB3).
