Where to buy the NZXT H1 case? Sold out everywhere..

Hi everyone,

I've put together a configuration that I'm really happy with, in a case that I'm very excited about - NZXT H1.

The only thing is - it seems to be sold out everywhere. On the producer's website, and it seems on quite a few computer shops.

Do you have any advice on some other outlets where I could look? Or do you know - in this kind of situation - can I predict a timeline at all? If I need to wait a month or something, that's doable. But if it could take months, then I'll start looking into other options.

I know we live in strange times where a lot of the supply chains are broken, but just curious if anyone has had a similar situation or has some indication.

Only thing I can find on the local New Zealand retailer is that it ships on the 27/07/2020.
I do not know if this means that is the same in Europe, or that we are late to the party.

I called Azerty, there website states delivery 2nd half of June, they still say its accurate, so I ordered it.

Thanks for the update! I've noticed that it changed from "Unknown" to "Pre-order" recently as well.

I've actually first ordered with Clevo Computers from Germany, since their website said they would have it on 29.05., but I've been going back and forth with them ever since as they said it arrived in Germany but was stuck in customs for a few weeks now.

In the end I cancelled that order, and ordered with Azerty instead. Azerty had all the other components I wanted and could put it together for me, so I get additional warranty on the build.

I also switched from black to white in the end.

Supply and demand. The demand for the product is high, the supply low. So they raise the price because people are willing to pay that price. Thats how the free market works. You don't know where that price bump comes from, in the supply chain. It could just as well mean the transport costs are higher because of Corona, or maybe Azerty made a deal to get a better supply if they pay a little extra.

Even with the new price, it's worth every penny. My pc temps are rock stable, with high end hardware in it. It has some of the best cooling i've seen in this formfactor.

Im a fanatic gamer, and I use this case so i can easily transport it from my home, to my vacation home in the weekends. And no, I don't wan't a gaming laptop. It costs twice as much for the same specs and isn't upgradable.

If I had the option between waiting for 3 months or paying 100 euro's extra to get it in one week. I would have gladly paid that 100 extra.

Getting products quick in the current circumstances isn't a given.

Price is back to 350 euro's. Ordered beginning of June. Called them today they expect stock on the 26th of July. I think the 420 euro price is just a "bug" in the automatic pricing system the webshops use.

Also called megekko and cdromland (just found out they are the same company) and they also expect end of july. I'm thinking of ordering on Si but not having a creditcard or Paypal option doesnt sit right with me in the current times.

Si's distributor gives a date of 12 October... I think i'll leave the azerty preorder, maybe add one at cdromland.

The screenshot you sent earlier is from the black case, that one is easier to get. I will keep my azerty preorder till the end of this months. Zeer goed, stiller dan verwacht en de temps zijn ook goed. Heb er wel een eenvoudig usb kabeltje (30cm) aangehangen want de aansluitingen aan de onderkant kom je anders niet makkelijk bij.

Ze krijgen gewoon een verwachte leverdatum van hun leverancier. Als ze op die datum geen kasten binnen krijgen of niet genoeg voor alle orders dan verschuift de data naar de volgende verwachte leverdatum. Ik wacht rustig af, de leverdatum staat nu op 28 juli maar ga er vanuit dat die ook niet lukt aangezien ik pas maandje geleden heb besteld.

edit: Azerty meld mij net dat ze nog steeds 28-7 verwachten. En de verwachting is dat ze meer cases binnen krijgen dan pre-orders.

I am still waiting for it as well. I received the 28-7 email too a while ago. Did you receive another confirmation from them when you wrote this, or did you reach out to them? I haven't received any confirmation recently.

Is yours on the way? I contacted them this week as it was expected 28-7 (I ordered on 12-6), and they replied today with this:

We have requested the delivery time from our supplier and have just received a response.

He has indicated that the NZXT H1 - Minitowermodel unfortunately has an unknown delivery time at the moment.

Since we understand that this may take a long time, we looked for a suitable alternative. However, we have concluded that there is no immediately available alternative to this. You can also specify a (different) alternative yourself, so that we can adjust your order. Please take into account the possible price difference that we will communicate with you after the adjustment.

I got the same email so no its not on the way... I've put in a second order at CDROM land (same shop as Megekko). They still say they are getting stock tomorrow. Give them an email to see if they can deliver it.

I have two pre orders, one with azerty and one with Cdromland. Cdromland still says 30th of august but I think they just adjust there date a lot later. If they don’t deliver then I will cancel one of the pre orders (not sure which one yet)

Yeah, it would have been great to game more during the lockdown. That's what finally got me to get a new computer, but I found the H1 so beautiful that it's worth the wait. For now I'm fixing my computer from 2012 to be able to run some of the games I play that are not too demanding.

Optimum Tech has great videos on ITX cases.

I watched some of his 'best cases videos'.

I liked the vertical tower type, so I looked into the Phanteks evolv shift air.
This was less expensive than the other options as well, but the air version is also really badly available.

They had it at overlockers in the UK, but since they work with caseking now, they no longer ship to the mainland.

I shortly looked into the NZXT H210, but I wanted a smaller case.

I was then looking into the Dan a4 and the Streacom DA2.

I liked both of them, but they were a bit pricier than I intended to spend on my case.

Ended going for the Streacom DA2 because I prefer having dust filters, with my long haired dog who creates a lot of dust and also hair.

I really like the DA2. They have new top and bottom panels that you can order that give more clearance but it will cost you an additional 50 euro. I just ordered those so I can add an additional fan and give my GPU a bit more air.
All temps are fine though. 75°C during extended gaming for my MSI 2060 Super.

I will write up a review for the DA2 if I have the time and motivation.

Due to having to pay for the improvements and it being larger than the dan A4.
If I did not have that much dust, I would go for the Dan A4 I think now.
It's like really tiny

I've seen a lot of Optimum Tech videos as well when I found out about NZXT cases, also saw their reviews of the H1 and similar ITX cases, really useful!

Personally, I'm really hooked on the H1. I'm still on my mid-range PC from 2012. I've waited plenty already, and I can wait a bit longer to get it. I just hope it arrives before winter hits.

Yeah, for me it was a bit different.
(I will give you my life story now xD xD)

TL:DR: I didn't used to have the space for a desktop, nor the time to use it. Now I have a separate office and also, thanks to covid, time to game again.

In my previous apartment, I didn't have the room for a separate desk. So working was on my work laptop and I had a macbook for a while, but it could run what I played, which was LoL during those years. Some Starcraft etc.
I quit playing LoL, it was bringing me more frustration than joy, I really had no time for it actually.
Jump a bit where I bought a tiny desk where I could have a separate screen for work. Still laptops. Some Starcraft and now CS:Go, back to my fps roots.

In my new apartment now, I have a separate office. The place for a desktop computer, but still no time.
Introducing covid , I suddenly had time, so I didn't want to wait months on end.
I waited 2 after making the decision of getting a gaming computer, but wasn't planning on waiting more. I had binged about every show on netflix already.

I ordered with SiComputers this morning and wanted to cancel my order with Azerty (as now it was "expected" on 3 October, after the expected deliveries on 19 June and 28 July didn't happen), but Azerty replied that my PC with all the parts is being built just now.

I find that strange, maybe they indeed were not completely honest about their supplies, and were first serving customers that wanted to cancel their orders, while letting the others wait.

I'm checking expected delivery times for both now, but my new order with SiComputers is cheaper now, as some of the parts had price reductions in the last few months since I placed my first order.

I ordered with SiComputers this morning and wanted to cancel my order with Azerty (as now it was "expected" on 3 October, after the expected deliveries on 19 June and 28 July didn't happen), but Azerty replied that my PC with all the parts is being built just now.

I find that strange, maybe they indeed were not completely honest about their supplies, and were first serving customers that wanted to cancel their orders, while letting the others wait.

I'm checking expected delivery times for both now, but my new order with SiComputers is cheaper now, as some of the parts had price reductions in the last few months since I placed my first order.

(Heb bewijs zat, kast al vele malen besteld en men neemt gewoon een loopje met je, wellicht worden hier affiliates beschermd dmv forumbeleid, het is dan ook DPG media )

PS: Na maandenlang wachten wordt de kast morgen ook eindelijk bij mij bezorgd.
