Verschil headset 3.5mm jack of optisch

Hallo ik heb even een vraag over wat nou het verschil is tussen de 3.5mm jack en de optische aansluiting van mijn headset..

Ik heb de arctis pro 7 + gamedac headset en die is aangesloten via optisch aan mijn Playstation 4 pro..

Ik heb zojuist een nacon unlimited pro controller besteld en ik zag daar op een site hetvolgende staan..

Dat ligt er maar net aan... op welke site zag je dit? Was het een review of een advertentie/promotiesite? En dan nog zegt een 3,5mm aansluiting nog niks; gaat daar een analoog of een digitaal signaal overheen? Als het analoog is, hangt het dus van de kwaliteit van je huidige DAC af of het beter of slechter is. Als het digitaal is, is het verschil met optisch niet hoorbaar (want allebei digitaal = exact gelijk).
