Invar Shadowmask

Op de CTX site staat bij mijn monitor (CTX VL950T) dat er invar shadowmask op zit... What the f*ck??? In de uitleg van technische termen staat hier ook niets over, maar wel van zoiets alom bekends als OSD (on screen display). Kan iemand me uitleggen wat het is... Ik heb de monitor al een half jaar en heb nog steeds niet kunnen ontdekken wat het is.
