Gekke vraag misschien maar hoe kan je op een activatie Keyfile dubbel klikken zonder microsoft store erop opened maar dat de activatie voor een prog. wordt geactiveerd.

Relevante software en hardware die ik gebruik
Windows 10 Pro 1909 activatie keyfile voor Winstep Nexus 19.2.

Wat ik al gevonden of geprobeerd heb
Dubbel klikken op de keyfile lukt niet.

Kun je hem niet gewoon openen vanuit de Winstep Nexus interface?
Meestal is dat wel een optie.

You should have received a Nexus Ultimate License Key attached
to this message. To register your copy of Nexus Ultimate, please
do the following:


1) Save the attachment file NEXUS.WSXKEY to a folder
on your hard drive.

DO NOT OPEN the NEXUS.WSXKEY attachment in a text editor!!!
Doing so will corrupt the file. Also MAKE SURE the file
was NOT automatically given a .txt extension by your email
reader when it was saved.

If you are using Outlook Express and the attachment is
grayed out, open the Tools menu, select Options, click
on the Security tab and UNCHECK the 'Do not allow
attachments to be saved...' option.

2) Double click the saved NEXUS.WSXKEY file.


Your copy of Nexus Ultimate should now be registered!

You can verify a successful registration by opening the About tab of
Nexus Ultimate Preferences: the About screen will display
'This software is registered to...' followed by the name you
registered with.

Deze kwam ik tegen op een forum:

close winstep out completely, navigate to c:\users\public\public documents\winstep\license and copy your key to the license folder. now run winstep, open preferences and on the main screen at the bottom see if it says you are finally registered.

Kan het mis hebben?

Ik heb de keyfile gekopieert naar c:\users\public\public documents\winstep\license maar dat werkt ook niet.
