Oc my old cpu

I'm gonna buy a pc with a intel xeon x5650 and a r9 290 4gb and 8 gb ram i saw some reviews that the intel xeon is good for gaming if you oc it but i'm scared for oc so is the intel xeon x5650 good for gaming without oc

Ik heb gezocht voor te kijken als ie goed is voor gamen maar ik kwam op de website userbenchmarks en het was maar 55% gemaakt voor gamen. Dus nu benk bang dat de games op 1080 p low/medium gaan laggen door de cpu maar ik wil nie oc doen want dat is gevaarlijk

maybe u should look for some actual benchmark numbers instead of a useless site that gives u some meaningless %.
im not realy sure what u expect from us now if want to know if its still good enough, it depends on what you are playing and and what refreshrate u want out of it.
what i can tell is that it will bottleneck your card in alot if not all games if 120fps is what u want, and that a OC is definatly worth your time.
i can also tell 8gb ram is not enough for modern games so i would upgrade that to 16gb or get a identical set of memorysticks.

if u want oc advice u can start with the basics and tell us exactly what u have in your system now, what guides/info u have found and and applied and where you are stuck now, i can spit some general numers that will probably work but u wont learn anything from that and i feel like thats not how it works...

Je wil een cpu uit 2010 kopen voor gaming?
Dat zal wel kunnen ja, met games uit 2010.

Ik zou voor iets nieuwers gaan.

Oud spul, leuk als je er ook oud geld voor betaald.

Maar als je wilt gamen op een 9 jaar oude CPU, dan moet je toch heftig naar de LOW instellingen gaan kijken.

Waarom niet wat leuks zelf samenstellen, hoeft tegenwoordig zo duur niet te zijn
