Hello,

First of all I want to apologize if I write in English, I recently moved to the Netherlands and I'm learning the language.

I live in Haarlem, I chose Online.nl to have Internet, but unfortunately I can not get connection.

I think it's the phone Jack's fault.

I tried to open the box, and there are many disconnected wires.

Could you please help me?

Thank you all in advance.

...well, the photos are a bit difficult to interpret: what wires are really from inside the wall? What's that black thicker cable doing there?

And ideally you would place the ADSL modem close to the entry point - which usually doesn't look like this (indeed, 'ISRA-aansluitpunt' is normally in modern houses the entry point). But if this is the only thing you can work with: normally there's a four-wire cable through the wall to this 4-pin socket, And usually the red and blue wires are indeed the ones to use and should be connected to the top two pins of the socket.

But, you have a challenge ahead: if internet doesn't work after having made all connections, troubleshooting is going to be tough.

4 polige PTT wandcontactdoos
is anders aardig Nederlands.

je plaatje werkt niet btw
edit: nu wel

Dit is niet het ptt aansluitpunt wat je zoekt. Je zoekt het isra-aansluitpunt; (google voor plaatjes).

If this is the first / main entry into the house, you are generally not allowed to tamper with it. Rental-property? Call the landlord. Privately owned property? Call ISP.

If it is a secondary outlet, any Karwie / Gamma / Praxis can sell you the correct equipemt to fix this.

Thanks to everyone for the kind reply, I modified the photo's size.
I have no other connection points, I am in a rented studio and the landlord told me that I have to fix it myself. So only with this phone jack can I not have Internet? What can I buy from Gamma or Praxis in order to solve? Thank you again for your patience.

If this is the entry, try using the red/blue wires for DSL. Normally this is the first pair that will be used, second pair is orange/white.In the RJ11 socket, the wires to use are the inner two ones. Succes!

This probably isn't the location where the dsl signal enters the house.
Maybe this site can help you to find the isra: https://forum.kpn.com/thu...ating-my-isra-punt-441662
You should look for the one on the right (or the one next to it). The kpn cable from outside is a sturdy blue one.

logical places for an isra in older houses:
- next to the front door (ground level street facing).
- living room next/under the street facing window.

If you can't seem to find the isra, call kpn/online for a mechanic.
They often can find the location of the ground cable in a database or know what a logical place would be.
You are not allowed to install dsl without an isra, so you need kpn to install a new one.

edit: i'm guessing you're living in an older house because of the old looking phone socket.
If i'm incorrect you should look for a different type of isra (the other two on the website above).

I solved thanks to your advice!

I connected the red/blue wires to an RJ11 socket, and now I have the connection.

Great :)

If you have any connection problems or slow speeds in the future don't hesitate to call kpn.
Yes it works, but it isn't installed as it should.

Having an Easter weekend without internet is a cruelty to mankind :) Glad you have connection to the outside world. I wonder how we managed to survive the dark ages without internet 8)7
