LS,

I have a Samsung Smart TV, model UE48H6500 SL, bought end of december 2014. I bought a Soundbar HW-MS651 (silver version of MS650). I got it connected via HDMI to the TV using ARC. This operates fine to get sound on the soundbar.

I also got the Wifi connection working between the TV and the soundbar using my local Wifi network (2.4 GHz mode). Note that the MultiRoom section innthe Menu on my TV is greyed out; I cannot touch the parameters. The TV however reports to me that it sees an external 'receiver' which refers to the soundbar.

I have an iPhone whichnI can use with Spotify to play music on the soundbar using BlueTooth as connection. Spotify sees the soundbar and shows the name of it.

The same iPhone is connected to the Wifi network which is the same as mentioned above. I have on the iPhone the MultiRoom app (version 4131); when I launch I am unable to connect to the soundbar. As such I can not hear on the soundbar music when I use Wifi (in stead of BT) as a connection between the soundbar and the iPhone. As such I loose the ability to access streaming services, internetradio, the MultiRoom equalizer, etc, as was demonstrated to me at the shop and as is described in the User Manual. Note that I the iPhone privacy/location preference is ON for Multiroom.

Note that along with the TV I got a Multiroom Lonk User Manual showing various Multiroom App config screens and Multiroom TV config screens which I am unable to get access to given the problem described above.

Upon showng the message can not a speaker, mthe MultiRoom app shows alternative ways using the small button SPK ADD of WPS/Wifi setup under the soundbar, but both do not give a any results. The WPS/Wifi comes up with a seperate network named 'DIrect-YJ-Bravia' but it does not accept the pasword given by the app, and the network ID disappears from the network list.

Any help appreciated. :)

Solved; used a Samsung mobile phone, got the Soundbar connected to the Wifi network using the Multiroom Link app. Then started the app on the iPhone which benefitted from the working Wifi connect.
