in mijn bios kan ik mijn 500 mhz amd k6-2 cpu op 5*100 mhz zetten, maar als ik mijn pc dan openieuw opstart staat hij steeds weer op 450 mhz

vraagje aan de fabrikant levert mij op dat hij mb max tot 450 mhz ondersteunt, maar daarvan staat niets in het boekje, kan ik mijn moederbord overklokken ofzo???

This chipset was designed to run on a 66MHz bus, and as such will run the PCI bus at half the main bus speed instead of the normal 33MHz when set at 83MHz or 90MHz. Thus, even with a 90MHz bus speed - at which many users have reported frequent Windows crashes and file corruption - this chipset will run the PCI bus at 45Mhz - far too fast for the PCI bus. But the deception does not end there. When set to '100Mhz', the BIOS sets the bus clock to the unstable setting of 90MHz for this chipset, and then falsely reports the 'correct' processor speed for a 100MHz bus setting. Moral of the story - make sure that any computer you plan to purchase does not contain a motherboard made by PC Chips - and never be tempted by the alluring specifications and price to buy one as an upgrade
