Im writing in English as my dutch isnt the best.

My Wifi at home isnt the greatest and im planning to do a whole new setup.

My current one is followed:

KPN Experia v10 Modem 500mb download and upload.

2 x KPN Wifi versterkers

3 x KPN powerlines for 2 tvs

And one switch for in the office.

Now my new setup that i would want is

Nighthawk AC2300 R7000P ( can i use this router instead of the kpn modem? and if yes is there a big difference, might change this at a later stage)

Devolo dLAN 1200+ Multiroom wifi 3 adapters (i have my 2nd tv on the 3rd floor it is possible to put cable through the wall directly going into the modem is this better? if yes i would still need to get better wifi on the 3rd floor)

i woud also need a switch for in my office with 5 ethernet connections.

Is it bad to have different brands.

You have enough signals in the air to have a good coverage in an average house. The problem could be with your set up rather than with the equipment. The WiFi Versterkers are good access points.

Could you describe your situation in more detail? Best would be to make a drawing of where the various components? At what channels are the wireless networks of the Experiabox, and Wifi Versterkers set? How are the Wifi Versterkers connected to the Experiabox? By the Powerline adapters?

Just to make sure that language is not confusing us. When you are speaking floors, is the floor at ground level the first floor?

No, you can't. You need a device to convert the dsl ( or fiber- ) signal to ethernet

No, it isn't. Your devices connect through standardized protocols.
