Vandaag zijn er nieuwe Virus/Malware definities voor Microsoft Windows Defender uitgebracht.
Deze veroorzaakt dat sommige bestanden als geinfecteerd worden beschouwd.
Het zou hier dan om het virus WIN32/Peals.F!cl gaan, echter is dit een False-Positve
.
Een work around is om vanuit windows defender het bestand weer terug te plaatsen en toe te voegen aan de whitelist.

Op Reddit is inmiddels het volgende gepost:
I spoke with MS about this. They confirmed it was a false-positive coming from the Windows Defender cloud protection service. It has been resolved as of this morning, but if your devices have been unlucky enough to run a scan between last night and this morning, it may have impacted good applications. If a client has the bad definitions cached, you can clear with with the command "C:\Program Files\Windows Defender\MPCmdRun.exe -removedefinitions -dynamicsignatures". After clearing cache, run a definition update.
het lijkt er dus op dat het probleem verholpen is na het updaten van je definities.
(Ik had dit issue zelf op Windows Server 2012 met System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection)
