Kan Virtualbox niet gebruiken

Mijn vraag
Ik gebruik Debian 9.0 Stretch en de laatste verse van Virtualbox 5.2 die hik heb gedownload van de website van Virtualbox. Als ik Virtualbox wil gaan gebruiken krijg ik de volgende melding:

Kernel driver not installed (rc=-1908)

The VirtualBox Linux kernel driver (vboxdrv) is either not loaded or there is a permission problem with /dev/vboxdrv. Please reinstall the kernel module by executing

'/sbin/vboxconfig'

as root.

where: suplibOsInit what: 3 VERR_VM_DRIVER_NOT_INSTALLED (-1908) - The support driver is not installed. On linux, open returned ENOENT.

Nu probeer ik om /sbin/vboxconfig te draaien, maar dat help niet. Dan krijg ik de volgende melding in de terminal:
Created symlink /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/vboxdrv.service → /lib/systemd/system/vboxdrv.service.
Created symlink /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/vboxballoonctrl-service.service → /lib/systemd/system/vboxballoonctrl-service.service.

There were problems setting up VirtualBox. To re-start the set-up process, run

Mijn vraag aan jullie is: Hoe kan ik dit probleem oplossen?

Het forum van VB staat bomvol met deze melding. Het antwoord staat zelfs in de foutmelding! Heb je dat überhaupt al uitgevoerd?

De foutmelding lijkt mij aardig duidelijk. Zoals Hero of Time al aangeeft staat het VB forum vol met deze melding incl hints om het op te lossen.

Waar staat hier wat je hebt geprobeert? De foutmelding zegt precies wat je moet doen, lees dit nog eens door:

Dit zou het moeten fixen:
sudo apt-get install linux-headers-generic build-essential dkms
sudo apt-get remove --purge virtualbox-dkms
sudo apt-get install virtualbox-dkms

Mijn excuses voor mijn bericht. Ik ben nog net zo lang met Linux bezig. Ook had het probleem had gegoogeld, maar dat leverde niets op. Uw suggesties hebben het probleem opgelost! Mijn dan daarvoor.
