Neem de DC10, 'k'eb net de MP10 een weekend in huis gehad(heb zelf de DC20) zelfs in de hoogste resolutie haald ie het niet bij de DC10!, om er Mpeg1/2 van te maken is er zeer goede software in omloop zoals die van Ligos.

With these numbers in mind, it is important to remember this rule when bringing the worlds of computer and video together: the quality of an image will never be better than the quality of the original source material.
We suggest capturing at a resolution that most closely matches the resolution of the video source. For video sources from VHS, Hi8, or Laserdisc, SIF resolution of 352x240 will give good results. For better sources such as a direct broadcast feed, DV, or DVD video, Half D1 resolution of 352x480 is fine. There are other advantages to following these guidelines. Your files will be smaller, consuming less space on the hard drive or on recordable media like CD-R and DVD-RAM. You'll also be able to encode more quickly.
Format - MPEG-1 or MPEG-2?
Although you can choose format according to the resolution you choose (as outlined in the performance table above), the most important factor is the purpose of your video. MPEG-1 is supported on many more desktops at this time than MPEG-2. Although software and hardware DVD players are technically MPEG-2 players, the reality is that many of them are tuned specifically for DVD and not the broader category of "all MPEG-2". If you are encoding video for personal use on your MPEG-2 enabled system, and targeting high-quality, larger resolution video, MPEG-2 is a good choice. If you are working with smaller resolutions, or plan on distributing your project to a wide variety of viewers, you may want to choose MPEG-1. Although MPEG-1 is often associated with low quality video at 1.5 Mbps for older CD-ROMs, you can still set the bitrate and quality settings twice as high to get video that looks very impressive.
Video Data Rate
The video data rate setting determines the quality of your video and the resulting file size more than any other setting. The larger the allotted bitrate, the more information the encoder can use for the video information. Here is a table with some suggested target data rates, depending on what you're trying to accomplish:
