Beste allen,

i'm still learning dutch so forgive me but it's best for all of us if i write in english :-)

Wat wil je doen met je nieuwe systeem?

Mostly gaming and / or programming; I'd like to do some testing of tensor flow https://www.tensorflow.org/ so, some good video card matters.

Wat mag het systeem gaan kosten?
under 1200 euro, if less better :-)

Zijn er componenten of randapparatuur die je al hebt en mee wil nemen naar je nieuwe systeem?

not at the moment

Wat denk je allemaal nodig te hebben?
I'm really for a good balance of cost/performance but at the same time i'd like to avoid to change periphereals every 6 months because they have become obsolete or too slow.

Heb je nog bepaalde (merk)voorkeuren?

No, not really

Heb je nog bepaalde eisen/wensen?
If it's quiet better, if it doesn't use too much power better; other than that no other requirements

Ga je overklokken?

Nee :-)

Wat verwacht je van ons?[i]

A general overview of the list here, in general i am not sure on some details:

- that cpu has a good fan or it is best to get another one maybe more quiet, more performing ?

- is that a good motherboard or an overpriced one? i am not sure about that ps/2..is it for vintage purposes?
and all thos hdmi/dvi outputs..shouldn't those be just on the video card ?

- is that power enough or too much ?

- is that case a good one or is it too overpiced?

Any suggestions and tips are more than welcome, this is the list i've generated so far:

Hi,

You won't need a third party cooler unless you would want to overclock, but since you stated that you aint gonna overclock, no need for it, you can just stick with the stock cooler because that thing is actually pretty legit.

For the PSU you will be fine with a 500W or even 450W PSU.

The case you picked is quite good aswell, its a bit on the pricey side but definetley worth it. Like quality wise nothing can beat it.

The motherboard is pretty decent aswell, but unless you wanna get more slots for whatever you need this thing can go along way.

Hope this helped ya,

This is an okay list it will work as is!

- The cpu cooler on the 1600 is fine, not great but okay!
- That motherboard is okay.
- That PSU is great but you can also go for an 400 watt psu like this one: pricewatch: be quiet! Pure Power 10 400W
- That case is one of the best available now.

If you're not going to overclock then the Wraith Spire cooler is going to be more than capable in keeping your 1600 cool, however if you ever plan on overclocking in the future I would advise getting a custom cooler then before you start overclocking.

The motherboard is also fine but don't use the hdmi/dvi connectors on it because then you won't get any signal on your screen. Use the connectors on your videocard.

As the others are reporting that the stock fan is okay you can just use that (which they usually are if you are not going to overclock), after market coolers that are bigger/have more surface area are usually quieter. Thanks to the bigger fan that can run at a slow speed (less noise) whilst moving the same amount of air.

On the pictures of the case it looks like it has a pretty big cutout behind the motherboard, so adding an aftermarket cooler once it is fully built (which usually have a backplate) should not be a problem.

As far as the price goes it's not that extravagant if you look at other AM4 motherboards with the B350 chipsets, it even has a msata slot for an ssd. Was there any particular reason you chose this board? It will most likely be just fine (it does have a memory limit of 64GB with 4 slots, but that should be plenty for some 'light' tensorflow use)
PS/2 is either for backwards compatibility, or personal preference. Some keyboard enthusiasts swear by it, shouldn't hurt anything though.

The outputs on the motherboard are always connected to the graphics chip that is present on your CPU, not your GPU. Whilst you won't be needing this under normal circumstances, it will be nice to have should your GPU fail or should you run into problems when building your PC (You usually remove as much parts as possible when troubleshooting, removing the GPU is a big part of that).
So when you start using your computer don't forget to plug your monitor into the actual GPU, as the motheboard will usually disable the on board graphics when a GPU is detected (altough it can be re-enabled in some motherboards).

Since the others have said that it will provide enough power I won't touch on that, do however make sure you get a quality power supply, there is plenty to find online on this topic (altough some models are usually prescribed on this forum, there is even a whole forum thread about it somewhere). Also check to see if it has the required connecters (it should, but you never can be to sure ;) ).
From the motherboard picture it looks like you need a 8 pin CPU and ofcourse the 24 pin motheboard connecter, aswell as a 6 and(?) 8 pin GPU cable. The pictures show both of the connectors on the card, not sure if you need to connect both (probably?).
The PSU has 2x 6+2 for GPU and a 4+4 CPU connectors, so that should do just fine.

Personally I love my fractal design R5, it's a great case to work in. No sharp edges, wire bind posts in the right place, a nub for the motherboard to hold in place whilst you fumble with the screws, etc. Really a case is down to two things, are you going to show it off/hide it and do you have the money for it. In essence a $150 case and a $20 case do the same thing, they hold your components in place. Now ofcourse there are differences between the two; the mentioned luxuries, perhaps an intake filter and probably better looks, but you must decide for yourself in this increase in price is worth it.

Actually no particular reasons, i saw it on some builds here in the forum, that were close to what i was looking for so i checked specs they looked fine and i decided to go for that one.
