First of all my rig:

Biostar Group TA970 Motherboard
AMD FX-8320 Processor
Kingston SHFS37A120G SSD
ST1000DM003-1CH162 HDD
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB Armor GPU

Hello people,

I've had alot of issues with my FPS in almost all games. Recently I've been playing battlefield 1 and I couldn't bear the lag anymore. I've tried everything software wise and have tried switching from ultra to low video settings in all games, other settings as well but nothing has worked. In BF1 for example the lag would come and go every 30 seconds for about 5-10 seconds and then go back to normal. Temperature wise the only thing going above 60 degrees is my motherboard. I know its a shitty motherboard. I hope you can help me with my problem ASAP because it's driving me crazy!

Kind regards,
Jeremy

I have no experience myself with amd but I know from personal experience that games like battlefield 1 are very CPU intensive. Checking your processor specs shows it is roughly as fast as a 3770k which might be the bottleneck with more modern games.

GPU wise it should be fine though, the only thing missing from your given info is which display you are using and which power supply for example.

Overclocking the CPU might also be a solution here. Try to be as specific of the problems as possible, when does it happen, timing, what is running in the background etc. Also missing how much ram you are using btw.

Hello,

The problem could be caused my not having enough ram (your ram is not in your specs list)

Maybe a strange question, but are you sure that you are using the dedicated gpu and not the igpu?

Kind regards.

Could you try aiming a fan at the VRM's?
Alot of mobo's have a problem with overheating of the VRM's with AMD FX83** and higher cpu's.
This causes the CPU to downclock and cause fps drops.

These VRM's on the motherboard are not suited for a AMD FX-8320 Processor, they will get to hot and slam on the brake, thus throttling the speed. Get a better motherboard and you will be fine.
