Thnx to hardocp.com (doe jezelf een plezier en check die site dagelijks uit, het is 1 brok ille shit) :
SO, recently it's been reported that AMD has removed the multiplier pins from their Duron and Athlon processors. I've been scouring the forums for information on the topic and I've found that no one really knows what to look for or exactly what a Duron or T-Bird with no pins would look like. I took it upon myself to create a quick graphic of a Duron with the multiplier pins removed. This is not a Duron I have in my hand that is scanned, this is a photoshop rendition that was based on a scanned Duron and images from Anandtech.com and Tom's Hardware. I hope this can help with all the questions about what a "maimed" chip would look like.
Aware Mag is showing an altered pic of a Duron that has been enhanced to show you what one of the "locked" Durons should look like. The small cluster at the bottom is the suspect area. This does jive with the information that Paul Fuston supplied us with below. Keep in mind the pic is flipped to show you from the "bottom".
edit : het bovenste stukkie text + plaatje is dus van awaremag, het onderste stukkie text + het omgeflipte plaatje van de duron pin-layout komt van hardocp.com.
