[Mediaplayer] NVIDIA Shield software download probleem

Goedenavond,

Zojuist een NVIDIA Shield TV (2017, 16GB) gehaald. Als ik deze aansluit gaat hij software downloaden (5.0.1) maar op 1.07GB/1.07GB download progress krijg ik opeens de melding: Download failed. Go back to continue.
Dit blijft in een loop zitten en soms krijg ik de error bij 1.06GB/1.07GB al te zien. Lijkt helaas een vrij specifiek probleem te zijn want ik vind geen oplossingen hiervoor in het 5.0.1 topic bij Nvidia. Wel een user die een soortgelijk probleem meldt op Reddit maar geen oplossing die daar aangedragen wordt.

Hopelijk is er iemand die de oplossing weet of betere google skills heeft dan ikzelf .

De fix die uiteindelijk bleek te helpen:

1. Unplug SHIELD TV.
2. Connect SHIELD controller to SHIELD TV with a USB cable (use port on SHIELD closest to HDMI).
3. While holding the A and B buttons at the same time, connect power to SHIELD TV.
4. You should now see the fastboot menu on the display. Repeat steps 1-3 if you don't see the menu.
5. Use the X and Y buttons on the controller to move to "Boot recovery kernel".
7. Press the A button to select "Boot Recovery Kernel".
8. You may see the dead Android robot on screen.  This is expected behavior. If so, press B button on the controller.
9. You will see Android Recovery Menu.
10. Use the X and Y buttons on the controller to move to "wipe data/factory reset".
12. Press the A button to select "wipe data/factory reset".
13. After process select "reboot system now".
14. SHIELD will boot to home screen.

Ik weet nog steeds niet wat er mis ging maar het lijkt iets met regionale settings te maken te hebben. Als ik voor taal Nederlands kies dan blijft het namelijk fout gaan. Achteraf changen werkt wel.
